For me its all about getting the arm-pumping exhilaration of a great shot. I'm a perfectionist and will bring studio strobes with 5' diffusers on location for the best lighting. I used to bring a generator too, but now my strobes are battery-powered! Don't trust a photographer with a small camera flash unit: that's where that deer-in-the-headlights look comes from.
